The Enrollment Process at Fountainhead Montessori School

20, May 2021

After much thought and consideration, you have decided that Fountainhead Montessori School is the right choice for your child. That is great news! The process of researching options and making a choice for your child’s early education can be difficult. Now that you are confident in your choice of a school, the next step is to go through the enrollment process. At Fountainhead Montessori School, the enrollment process is not difficult but it does vary based on your child’s age and if you want to include extras such as before and aftercare and supplementary enrichment courses.

Preschool

Children ages 18 months up to 5 years can be enrolled in the preschool program at Fountainhead Montessori School. The goals of the preschool program are to help students develop independence, gain self-confidence, and provide students with a positive first experience at school. Scheduling a time to observe a class is the first step in the enrollment process. Once you complete a class observation, you can get the enrollment process started by filling out the online application. If there is space available for your child’s start date, you will pay your first month’s tuition and get your child enrolled. If there is not space available for your desired start date, your child will be placed on the waitlist and you will only be charged for tuition once your start date is confirmed.

Kindergarten

Children ages 4.9 to six years are part of the kindergarten program at Fountainhead Montessori School. The goals of the kindergarten program are to help students develop critical thinking skills, provide developmentally appropriate instruction, and to offer a multicultural, multi-sensory, and integrated curriculum through cooperative learning. The first step in the process is to set up a time to observe a class. After the class observation, you can fill out the online application to get the process started. Students in this age range will complete a two-day visit/assessment at Fountainhead Montessori School once you complete the application. There is a non-refundable assessment fee required for enrollment in the kindergarten program.

Lower and Upper Elementary

Children ages 6 to 9 are part of lower elementary and those ages 9 to 12 are part of upper elementary. The goals for children in lower and upper elementary align with and expand upon the goals for younger students. Ultimately, the goal for students in the elementary program at Fountainhead Montessori School is for them to reach their fullest potential in all areas. The enrollment process for students going into one of the elementary programs is the same as the process for kindergarten – class observation, online application, and 2-day visit/assessment at Fountainhead Montessori School.

Fountainhead Montessori School also offers before and aftercare at some of the campuses. During your enrollment process you can talk to a staff member about what is available at the specific campus you want your child to attend. No matter what program you are interested in at Fountainhead Montessori School, the first step in the process is to schedule a time to observe a class. Once you take that step, you can quickly move through the rest of the process.
